22. Complete 2 different languages on Duolingo

 Complete 2 different languages on Duolingo. 

So this started in lockdown in 2020 where I thought it would be a good idea to learn how to speak Spanish more fluently and therefore be able to speak to the locals when he headed over to South America when COVID settled down a bit, little did I know that the issues with oil and Airline cancellations would follow in quick succession. I had toyed with the idea of attempting Japanese but proved to be extremely tough going and while attempting another couple of languages I thought rather than jumping between languages and getting bored, I should really stick to one and try to complete it. As I have approximately 11 years I thought I may challenge myself to do two.   

Update 19/07/22 -  I have began working my way through German and have complete the first unit on this and its likely that this will be one of the two languages that I'll do. The other is probably going to be Spanish and although I've made progress in this one as its been so long since I have worked through it, then it might be like going back to basics. 

Update 23rd September 2022 - I'm still plugging away on the German. Currently on unit 12 of 114 as Duolingo have changed the way they run the app and how its laid out. Spanish I'm on unit 31 out of 211. Definitely need to do more each day but focussing on German for now. 

Update 3rd March 2023 - Again the app has been updated into a different format. There are now 108 units in the German unit and these are broken down into 5 larger categories, so probably easier to just post pics of progress. I also reset the Spanish as I think going back to it halfway through with all the changes would be difficult.... But I can still ask for a beer at least. 

Update 19th May 2023 - So my progress has stagnated on this a bit and I've not really progressed on this one since the last update as my motivation is pretty poor at the moment. Hopefully I get out of the rut and pick it up soon. 

Update 2nd June 2023 - Started Spanish from scratch and seems to have helped my interest and completed three of the units in the Rookie section so hopefully this will help it all kick on and move forwards

Update 1st September 2023 - Still plugging away with Spanish. Not real progress if I'm honest but still slow progress. 

Update 15th January 2024 - All the new year, unit a week has slipped by the wayside and back to just doing the odd lesson at the moment. I'm sure it will pickup again when things ease off.
